Boxes of Stuff - December 2017

This time Hulk smashes his way into Marvel Collector Corps while Geek Fuel travel to a galaxy far far away and then to a quiet little mountain town:

Marvel Collector Corps - Hulk
Hulk is no stranger to Marvel Collector Corps having made previous appearances before with the rest of the Avengers. But I think Funko wanted to have a box solely dedicated to the incredible monster that he is. No pin this time, but we do get a Hulk patch which has one of his comic book appearances. The two Pop figures are none other than the original Incredible Hulk and the original Bruce Banner from their very first comic book cover which will set nostalgia sky high for some of us. The keyring is Hulk in his battle armor from Thor: Ragnarok who looks ready for a fight. The Dorbz figure is a traditional Hulk, but one that doubles as a stress toy which can help control the anger inside us. Finally, the t-shirt is a Hulk version of the evolution of man which looks very green I have to say. This box is ok, but not the best I've had from Funko with the only good stuff being the Pop figures and the patch. Everything else feels like something you can buy pretty much anywhere. So yeah I'm a bit disappointed, but hopefully the next one which is a mystery will be better.

Geek Fuel
So interesting fact for you all. The Geek Fuel HQ is in none other than Colorado which is the same state that South Park is set in. And speaking of South Park, Geek Fuel decided to go the Loot Crate route this time to allow us to create the famous scene where Kyle, Kenny, Stan and Cartman stand at the bus stop. Only the sign says Geek Fuel and instead of the boys, you get an AWESOM-O figure which is pretty neat, but as it was when I had Loot Crate, it went straight in the bin due to space. The Star Wars item that was hyped is a keyring which isn't the best hyped up item to receive in the years that I have been recieving these boxes, but it's fine as its got the emblems for the Empire and the Rebellion. Robot pin badge this time around is characters from Lord of the Rings and I got Gandalf which is nice. Steam game this time is Poncho which is quite fun to play. Not pictured is what's supposed to have been the t-shirt which is said to be a Super Mario one that takes inspiration from the most recent games of the series. I'm a little disappointed that I didn't get the t-shirt. But all the other items are good.

I think its fair to say that geek boxes for December were not entirely great. Geek Fuel was lacking in terms of what the hyped items ended up being and the fact that I didn't get a t-shirt this time. While Marvel Collector Corps did have some great items, but some of those items you can easily get somewhere else. So based on that, I'm giving the win to Marvel Collector Corps which had two great items in them.

Next one will be for February's boxes and click on the links if you want to receive boxes for then.
