TV Season Review - Legends of Tomorrow (Season 3)

So another season of Arrowverse shows is reaching its end and the reviews are coming in like hot cakes. So we start with the show that bought many heroes (and villains) from both Arrow and The Flash together to form the Legends of Tomorrow, a group who are tasked with protecting the timeline at all costs and taking on threats that threaten time and space itself. So let's look at how the third season played out:

So following their ordeal with the Legion of Doom, time anachronisms have invaded the timeline and Rip Hunter (reprised by Arthur Darvill) forms the Time Bureau to replace both the Time Council (which was destroyed in the first season) and the Legends to fix the timeline. The first half of the season sees the Legends proving themselves to the Bureau and eventually get their chance to protect the timeline once more. And they battle Nazis with Team Arrow, Team Flash and heroes from Earth-38. Meanwhile in the second half, a greater threat emerges and following the loss of one of their members, the Legends team up with John Constantine (reprised by Matt Ryan) and an old enemy to stop a time demon who wants to wreak havoc across all of time. Plus throughout the season, new members join the team including a speedster and a wind bender (so to speak).

A great season overall. Its action packed, full of funny and emotional moments and has pop culture references throughout as always. The overall villain can be seen as not as great or as interesting as the show's previous villains, but it is a step up from an immortal being and a version of the Legion of Doom. And it's nice to see that John Constantine is popping up a bit more and it looks as though he may be a series regular in the next season. So yeah its been a great season and I look forward to what season 4 has to offer. 9/10
