You know when you have a subscription on things like Netflix, Prime Video and the like, you are bound to come across some pretty weird s**t. So although I generally don't review TV or B-list films on this blog, I decided to change that seeing as it is Christmas so today we're looking at one of those films that is just really, really bad. Bad acting, bad writing and just really poorly done. This is pretty much what you get when you have to work with a small budget. I mean at least Danny Boyle who loves making low budget films actually does better than whoever did this film. So anyway let's see what this is about:
The film is set around this small town and in Santa's workshop, letters to the jolly guy from this small town go up in smoke. So its up to these child looking elves to go find the letters and fulfil all 48 wishes that this town wants while teaming up with a human boy in the process.
Yeah that's pretty much the film in a nutshell. Nothing special about it. Its dull, pretty boring, has the worst acting out there (particularly from the children) and is best left forgotten about. I suppose the only good thing I can say about it is that it does show 48 wishes being fulfilled so at least people will be somewhat satisfied even if the film isn't all that good. I will admit that some films with bad acting and writing can be good for very unintentional reasons such as The Room which itself was laughably bad. This film meanwhile, I just don't get it. Its not all that funny even when it tries to be and it surprisingly has bloopers and one of the most slowest credit crawls ever put to film. So yeah this film overall is best left forgotten about. Nothing more to say than that. 4/10
