So next in the world of Steam, we've got a game that takes inspiration from the Souls series and Rise of the Robots while also being the spiritual successor to Lords of the Fallen. We all know what dystopian universes can be like and we know that not everything will last forever (yes Brexit I am looking at you in particular) so this seems like my kind of game. Let's take a look:
In a dystopian world where humans have exhausted the world's resources and in its place are social services and environmental diseases, we meet Warren who is wheelchair bound, takes up a job at a company who are working to get Earth back in order. But when a disaster happens that causes the company to go haywire, Warren makes it his goal to find out what happened while hoping to try and save what is left of the world. Gameplay can be best described as very much like the Souls games with it being a challenging RPG and taking full advantage of the endoskellinton that you get to use.
A pretty straight forward game with decent graphics, but not a lot of innovation. You could probably go as far as to call it a Dark Souls game if it was more forgiving and being more sci-fi than fantasy. Plus with the sequel right around the corner, there seems to be no better time to talk about this game now. So yeah a decent game, but if you are after the next big original game, this isn't it but its still worth at least one playthrough. 7/10
