Random Video Game Review - Garry's Mod

Most players dream of a game where we can create anything and be who we want to be. With Garry's Mod (though commonly known as GMod) we can do just that. Made by the people behind Rust and published by the people behind Half-Life, Portal, Left 4 Dead and of course Steam, Garry's Mod is perhaps that one game that for many years now is that one fun game that players keep coming back to and YouTubers keep making videos out of. So let's see how good it really is:

The game itself is largely a physics based game with no set objectives in the base game. Players can spawn and create their own non-playable characters, ragdolls and props which can all be interacted by various means. By using the physics gun, you can pick all these things up and rotate or freeze them into place. And by using the tool gun, you can use this to alter the faces of the ragdolls, welding and constraining props together and various other tasks. As a developmental game, players can mess around with game scripts to create their dream space with mods largely coming from Steam Workshop.

There's not much else to say about this. But lots of gamers and YouTubers get a kick out of it and as long as you got patience and a technical knowledge of game code and scripts, you will do just fine with this game. Due to its nature, its not available on consoles. But that's OK because this was set out to be a PC game first and foremost. It's a great sandbox game that literally is what it says it is. Best being played with others though if you prefer exploring something that is already made like a Freddy Fazbear's Pizza joint or the Death Star just to name a few possible places. 9/10
