Random Video Game Review - My Friend Pedro

Being in lockdown has its perks and downsides and I often think that having a friend to talk to is now more important than ever. Some of us are doing it alone while others have family or live with friends and that's ok. So part of Humble Bundle's monthly offerings of games has given me this game which seems to have some relevance to what people need during these unpredictable times. Whether it's the name or that its about doing the bidding for an object like a banana, it still has some relevance to today's environment. So let's have a look:

The game has players go through a series of themed levels and killing a bunch of enemies using guns and other weapons in order to satisfy a banana. Yep it doesn't get any weirder than that. As a game published by Adult Swim Games, its one that was based on a Flash game of the same name, but with some changes and improvements. Changes such as kicking objects and enemies, spilt aiming between targets and spin to dodge bullets. If anyone is familiar with Assassin's Creed, you will feel right at home here with parkour being a big feature too. How you go about doing things will affect the score which is key here.

Not much else to say about this game. Its good fun and has some great variety in its levels. It does however lack any replay value which may come as annoying to some people, but OK to others. As a Steam game, its good fun and worth a little playthrough if only to see if you can improve upon your score. 7/10
