Random Video Game Review - Starbound

You know, I've never thought of Chucklefish as being a bad gaming publisher. I mean until it become independently published, they published Stardew Valley which is arguably a fantastic game that is often considered superior to games that it was inspired by (specifically the Harvest Moon series). Much of the games they do are pretty good. Nothing triple A, but good enough. So we have another game of theirs which looks to be something like Terrania, so maybe it will be good. Who knows, let's find out:

Following the supposed destruction of Earth, a shuttle containing the player character begins exploring the universe with no direction. Thus the player can travel to lots of habitable planets and do pretty much what you like give the game is a procedurally generated game. Lots of items to use and find, enemies to fight or escape from and plenty of planets to visit with free world exploration and story based quests to do too.

This is in almost every way the sci-fi version of Terrania. It plays almost exactly like it, but manages to do its own thing as you get a sort of hub world in the form of the player's shuttle. So yeah, a pretty good game overall. Not much more to say than that, though I guess it does present itself well too. 9/10
