Movie Review - The Addams Family 2

I like the Addams Family when they are actually funny and do what we all want them to do. I really don't see why a second film to the first animated film was needed. The first wasn't all that great to begin with (I believe I said it felt too safe) so I really don't see the point of there being another film. But hey ho, MGM needs to make money even now with Amazon of all people, owning them so it is what it is. Like I said, I like this family. But only when they take risks and are genuinely funny. So let's get this over and done with:

Wednesday Addams (reprised by Chloe Grace Moretz) is at a science fair with an experiment to show off that sees Fester Addams (reprised by Nick Kroll) be combined with the DNA of a squid to see how humans can be improved. Despite being dismayed by her family, her work gets noticed by scientist Cyrus Strange (voiced by Wallace "Inconceivable" Shawn) who takes a particular interest in her. Due to her neglecting her family, Gomez Addams (reprised by Oscar Issac) decides to take the family on a road trip to bond better and remaining oblivious to a possible theory to do with when Wednesday was born.

More like the meh family and pretty boring. This film didn't need to be made. Although I chuckled a few times, its not all funny and pretty forgetful. Not much else to say, really. Watch it if you want, but don't expect to be entertained by it. 6/10
