TV Special Review - LEGO Star Wars: Terrifying Tales

Yep even in a galaxy far, far away, there is some scary stuff and it's not just the dark side of the force. It is kind of nice to see some more franchises get both a Christmas and a Halloween one-off specials. I mean previously from Disney, Toy Story got that treatment and alongside this, there was also one featuring The Muppets (more on that one next week). Played out like a Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror special, this little special gives us a taste of things that could have happened in Star Wars had things play out a little differently. But seriously, if you really want to do your own What If series, then just do it already. For now, let's see what terrifying tales await us:

Set after Rise of Skywalker, Poe (reprised by Jake Green) and BB-8 find themselves on Mustafar. There they find what was once the castle of the late Darth Vader (reprised by Matt Sloan) which has now been turned into a Sith and dark side inspired luxury all-inclusive resort. While having a look around with various creatures that are working on making it such a resort, Vader's servant Vanee (voiced by Tony Hale) appears to tell the gang three terrifying tales had things play out a little differently with nearly everyone remaining oblivious to his true intentions.

Very much like a Treehouse of Horror, some of these stories are parodies of other films and stuff. Although very much a comedy like all LEGO films, specials and whatnot, it's interesting to see these different tales. It is funny, no so much scary though, and I did get a chuckle here and there. But overall, this is very much a thing for the fans than the average joe. 7/10
