Now here's a game with an interesting development. So, for those of you who don't know, there is a thing called a game jam. A game jam is usually an event where people come together to create games from scratch. It's one of those great events where you can make friends and collaborate on various projects, among other things. Guess this game came out of one of those events and reviewing it now because it's currently (at the time of writing this) on sale on Steam. Let's take a look:
So the game is a platform game where you take control of one of a variety of animals. The goal of each game within is to score points by building a platform level one piece at a time, with each player getting said piece. And try to get to the flag on the other side of the level before the other players or AIs. Players can also add obstacles designed to challenge other players, while also making sure that they too can handle their own handiwork. Points are dependent on various tasks being achieved throughout each game, with all of them lasting around a minute.
While a pretty simple game, it kind of reminds me of the two Super Mario Maker games, which themselves are part game, part level creator. This of course does its own thing, but the similarities are there, and it can be quite a fun game despite the simple aspect of how the game plays out. Fun to try with friends and family, for sure. 8/10
