It's quite rare to see a show like this come to its end so soon. But when the screenwriters know how their shows are going to end, kind of a no-brainer to just end it rather than carry on and lose steam. Such is the case for some of the Arrowverse shows which in my opinion should really end because it's a bit ridiculous for them to keep going with nothing that's really going to attract viewers. Quit while you're ahead, I'd say. So here we are with the second and final season of this beloved Pacific Rim spin-off which continues to do its best to be like 3D anime in every way. Let's take a look:
Picking up from the first season (and spoiler alert if you haven't seen it yet), our heroes come to terms with Boy (reprised by Benjamin Diskin) being a kaiju. Some debate occurs as to what to do with him, but dealing with the Sisters of the Kaiju becomes top priority when Boy is taken by them, and them being the last threat the heroes must deal with before finally arriving at Sydney to reunite with their parents. But things may not be quite as they seem when beliefs are tested, trails take place and a choice must be made between what and who is family and what and who are not.
The final season manages to end well with a satisfactory conclusion that also hints at the possibility of there being more to come. Superb animation with a lot of epic battles, emotional moments and a few short bursts of humour here and there. Yeah, a great final season to a very short but loved show from a franchise that just keeps on going. 9/10
