Random TV Season Review - American Horror Story (Season 11: NYC)

I know it's not October yet, but figured that as February is a month that celebrates LGBTQ+ history, I thought this would be appropriate. Now as a show, American Horror Story has a lot of actors who consider themselves part of that group. Specifically a few of the male actors who are gay or the like in real life. That and this season actually explores the idea of gay men being victims. So let's take a look:

Set in the 80s in the titular city of New York, a string of killings take place with the victims all being gay men. As NYPD Detective Patrick Read (played by Russell Tovey) and his romantic journalist partner Gino Barelli (played by Joe Mantello) separately investigate, it soon becomes apparent that this is the least of their problems. Especially as a new virus emerges.

The gay representation is good as expected. But as scary as some of the other seasons are, this one feels less scary, but more intriguing all the same. Not the weakest series by any means, but I have certainly seen better seasons and we have more on the way. 7/10
