Random TV Season Review - Loki (Season 2)

So before I talk about this, I should first address the recent MCU big screen release. At the time of typing up this review, I have not yet seen The Marvels and because of things I have been hearing about it as well as my own feelings of one of its predecessors, I have no intention of seeing it... just yet at least. Yeah, the MCU hasn't been having the best of years with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 being the only good film it has had whereas for shows, many say that this second season is the best of the MCU shows this year. So much so that Disney actually had McDonalds do a promotion of it as well as some other things in an attempt to, presumably, get more people into subscribing to Disney+. By the looks of things, that actually paid off and one of the few things they did right in this 100th year of theirs. So let's see what awaits us in the show that helped redefine the god of mischief himself:

Following the events of the last season, Loki (reprised by Tom Hiddleston) works with members of the TVA including Mobius (reprised by Owen Wilson) and others, in finding members that have gone rogue across the multiverse while also dealing with another variant of He Who Remains known as Victor Timely (played by Jonathan Majors) who may be able to help. A visit to McDonald's and having lots of cheesecake, awaits in this season.

While this second may fall short of being better than the first, it succeeds in giving us the old MCU magic that is clearly missing from much of Marvel's latest things. It has a lot of emotion, a lot of things happening and a few familiar faces who know a thing or two about multiversal travel either in Marvel or other projects. I'm not sure if we will see Loki again after this season, but one can hope because Tom Hiddleston is one of the best things of the franchise, and he is good-looking too. 9/10

Movie Review - Inside Out 2

I guess a sequel to the first makes sense here. I mean, for the most part, this franchise is all about the subject of growing up and with ...
