Random Web Season Review - Helluva Boss (Season 1)

So I usually don't review shows that are YouTube exclusive, but after having watched Hazbin Hotel and heard about this show, I decided to give it a watch. Now if you are expecting more of the same in terms of themes, comedy, where it's set and bizarre characters, then yeah you'll get that with this show too. It doesn't have as many musical numbers mind you, but it makes up for it with the comedy, animation and just the question of how this one YouTuber can get away with so much on YouTube of all things where the rules can be a little strict in places. I should know because I'm on YouTube too. So let's see what we can expect in the first season of this other show by VivziePop:

In contrast to Hazbin Hotel where it's all about trying to have souls be redeemed, Helluva Boss is about a small team of assassins who get clients that ask them to kill living people. But as at least two of them are of the LGBTQ+ group, a lot of sexual tension occurs and many shenanigans that make them a little too messy in the killing department, but they try their best all to earn money. This season's highlights include a trip to a pretty down the drain theme park, a battle with angels that try to convince a man that life is worth living, a Harvest Moon making an appearance and anthropomorphic dogs doing suggestive things.

Like the other show, this is another win for VivziePop. The animation is great, the humor is great, the sexual content could be cut down a little, but still all good. The characters are all very memorable and it's just another great show that you should not take too seriously and have a good time with it, much like Hazbin Hotel. So take note, other animated adult humoured shows that isn't South Park. This is how you make a good show in those genres and styles. 9/10
