Random Movie Review - All of Us Strangers

Time to look at another award-winning film by Searchlight Pictures, and yeah, this one really got people talking. As we all know by now, the LGBTQ+ community (or whatever you want to call it) is becoming more and more mainstream for all entertainment industries. Most countries welcome this change and in all honesty, we live in a world now, where most people have their preferred pronouns and preferred sexual orientation. I for one, consider myself pansexual which basically means I am only sexually attracted to a personality of a person regardless of gender, sexual orientation and all that. Now I have seen a few of these kinds of films already and know that major studios are inserting minor references to that community in their big budget blockbuster films (well most of them anyway). I guess the reason why it's minor is because we still have some countries that refuse to acknowledge the ever-changing world that we live in. To them, I say "oh well, your loss". Anyway, let's check out this film and see if it was worth all the attention that it got:

The film is focused on a lonely television screenwriter called Adam (played by Andrew Scott) whose drunk neighbour Harry (played by Paul Mescal) has a crush on, despite Adam refusing his advances (at first anyway). He then goes to visit his childhood home where his parents reside and, after having dinner with them, promises more visits in the future. He eventually gives in to Harry's advances and the pair begin a passionate relationship, but not everything is as it seems as the film goes on.

Yeah, it's another one of those films where you can't say too much as it ruins the effect the film has on people, and it's a very well-thought-out effect too. But regardless, it deserves all the praise people are giving it. Its another slice of life kind of film with not too many complexities and a cast that play their parts well, despite the obvious theme of something isn't quite right. It will no doubt be banned in some countries for the reasons I've mentioned above, but for those of you who can access it, give it a watch if you can. Don't be a stranger now! 9/10

Movie Review - Inside Out 2

I guess a sequel to the first makes sense here. I mean, for the most part, this franchise is all about the subject of growing up and with ...
