AC19: Top 10 Games of the Year

As we fast approach Christmas day, I thought I'd do my very first Top 10 starting with the games of the year. Now each game I put on the list will have to be a game that was released this year and I have played and/or reviewed. Before that here's some honoured mentions:

Mario 3DS - Haven't played both of them or reviewed them
Zelda Games - Haven't played them and have no intention of doing
Fantasy RPGs - Same as above
Dues Ex: Human Revolution - Never managed to fully complete it
Child of Eden - Haven't completed it
Disney Universe - Same as above
DC Universe Online - Hardest MMORPG I've played
LEGO Games - Nothing too new or interesting (gameplay terms)
Rayman Origins - Haven't played or reviewed it
Xbox 360 Games - Obvious Reasons
Downloadable Games - Apart from the Apps on IOS devices, I'm not really into downloadable games
Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One - played it but felt it was too frustrating at times
PSP games - Obvious Reasons

OK let's now enter the list:

10: Portal 2
This game is a great game because it improves on what the last game had but added extra things to do like more puzzles and co-op. It helps those who want to relax in the same way that LEGO would help them and its just full of humour from the likes of GlaDos and Wheatley. It gets the 10th spot because it was released during PSN being down so no one on PSN could play online co-op for a month or two.

9: LittleBigPlanet 2
This is a fun side scrolling game that puts in what we love about the first game and adds the ability to create more than just new levels such as cutscenes and fully functional games. The story mode has greatly improved as well and overall despite similarity to its predecessor, its still a good game.

8: Super Street Fighter 4 (3D Edition)
While there weren't that many big games out at the 3DS launch, Street Fighter stepped in and became everyone's top priority game for the 3DS thanks to its similarity from its other versions and the 3DS effects plus StreetPass that make this game a must buy for any 3DS owner and any Street Fighter fan.

7: Pilotwings Resort
This one deserves 7th place because the game is great with all its variety of mini games and vehicles but is very similar to that of the flying game in Wii Sports Resort. Despite this however, the game is still good and anyone who owns a 3DS should make it their top game if you're in to that kind of stuff.

6: Sonic Generations
This game is one of the game highlights of the year simply because it brings back levels of 3 eras of Sonic together and brings in some new elements to them for a Modern Sonic and Classic Sonic look. It's definitely better than Sonic's 15th anniversary game and deserves 6th place on my list.

5: Angry Birds Rio
As always, Rovio like to impress everyone with their Angry Birds franchise and Rio is no exception. It has you either freeing the other birds or killing monkeys and that big evil white parrot with all the original Angry Birds with the main stars of the film Rio adding some extra gameplay elements to make it more fun.

4: inFAMOUS 2 and LA Noire
These two games are great. LA Noire has everything a police dectective game should have and is an all time favourite of mine. And inFAMOUS 2 is epic and has everything the first game had but with some more gameplay elements added.

3: Batman Arkham City
A fantastic game that has everything fromt eh last game with some more gadgets, villians, side missions and gliding involved, not to mention the chance of playing as Catwoman in her own storyline. And a great ways to say good bye to Mark Hamill's Joker role.

2: Assassin's Creed Revelations
One of the most anticipated games of the year and while it does have everything Brotherhood has, it also includes an improved multiplay mode, hookblades, bombs, Assassin Faction missions, Dens and many others. Making this one of the best games of the year.

1: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
Whenever Naunty Dog produce another Uncharted game, it's allways another big game in the series and this one is no exception. Great stoyline with some great voice acting, new gameplay elements, the best graphics ever seen in any PS3 game so far and a better experience for 3D lovers and online multiplayer.

Thats my Top 10 folks so thanks for reading and this is just opinion based and also based on my experiences with these games.
