Hello and welcome to another Movie Review. Today we're talking about the sci-fi and adult humoured film called The Watch. Originally going to be known as Neighbourhood Watch (before a shooting took place), The Watch has a man called Evan Trautwig (played by Ben Stiller) who lives in the small town of Glenview, Ohio. He runs various clubs around the town (probably as a way to boost his morale) and after doing a shift at Costco, his friend, the security guard, gets murdered by unknown suspects. Determined to find the killer, he then forms the Neighbourhood Watch which grabs the attention of 3 other guys. Bob, a construction worker (played by Vince Vaughn) who has a teenage daughter and will do anything to keep her safe (just like any father would, Franklin, a policeman reject (played by Jonah Hill) who wants to prove himself, and Jamarcus, a recent divorcee (played by the only British actor in the film, Richard Ayoade who I know from "The IT Crowd", a british sitcom on Channel 4), all of which show interest in the project and thus, begins the Neighbourhood Watch.
Now I know that it has been negatively reviewed, but to be honest, it isn't all that bad. By all means, it's not the greatest sci-fi film that I have seen by a long mile, but its still very enjoyable. The comedy is possibly at the standard of what "The Hangover" was like and combining that and the Sci-Fi part of it, make it very enjoyable. Not great, but enjoyable. 8/10
