Video Game Review - Angry Birds Stella

I think its fair to say that after several games in the series, Angry Birds has gone on to become one of the most successful apps ever made. Now we get their latest spin-off which as its name implies, is aimed at females. But why am I reviewing it you may ask. Well even though its aimed for females, males can enjoy it too. So let's take a look:

Now if you were expecting something new and unexpected in the series, prepare to be disappointed. The game has you play as the pink bird Stella (who as everyone knows is one of the many birds that appeared in the main Angry Birds games and is significant for being the first ever female bird in the series) and her friends to stop the evil princess bird (a first in the series) from doing evil things. Now unlike the main game, Stella's abilities are different and play out a little bit like the yellow bird in Space. Her friends also have different abilities as well, all of which can slow things down to allow you to make your targets visible to them. Aside from the new abilities, everything plays out like the main Angry Birds games with the chance to acquire photos and costumes/accessories for your characters.

Now to be fair, this game was one of those ones that I wasn't going to expect there to be much going on in it and I was right. Its OK, but can be quite repetitive and I think boys will enjoy this as well as girls, but I think girls will enjoy it that little bit more. 7/10
