AC16 - Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Review - The Things We Bury (S2, E8)

Quite an interesting one this episode. The Ward brothers finally have some time to talk to each other, we go to the past again to see more of the Obelisk and so on. So let's take a look:

So during an interrogation, Coulson's team discover that Whitehall (the presumably current leader of Hydra, played by Reed Diamond) is actually a Nazi scientist called Reinhardt who was studying the Obelisk and had been doing experiments with it, before being captured and imprisoned for life by Peggy Carter all those years ago. In 1989, he was released from prison by Alexander Pierce and discovered the secret to immortality. Meanwhile, Grant decides to torture his brother and then reconsiders about joining Hyrda once more.

There is a lot going on in this episode with more info about the Obelisk, more stuff to set the tone for the Peggy Carter show coming up and we finally see the Ward brothers communicating with each other. As much as I liked this episode, I felt that there wasn't as much character development with everyone than there was in the past, but I'm OK with that. A lot of revelations make this episode quite a spoiler-rific episode so don't watch it unless you've seen all episodes thus far. 7/10
