Top 50 Worlds to Appear in Future Kingdom Hearts Games

Having now played all the 7 games that have come out thus far (though not necessarily on the consoles they initially came out on) and having watched quite a number of Disney films, I can now sort of join the vast amount of people who are making these lists of worlds that they want in future Kingdom Hearts games. However unlike other people, this list isn't aimed directly at Kingdom Hearts III but more along the lines of any future game in the series which includes III. For this list, I'm picking out any Disney film that hasn't made a worldly appearance in the series so far and would potentially make a good fit in the games and I will also be including whatever Disney has as assets including Pixar, Marvel, LucasFilm, Muppet Studios, Fox and Studio Ghibli. In case you are wondering, Studio Ghibli is here because Disney do the distribution of the films in western parts of the world as well as the English dubbing. In addition, John Lasseter who served as the head of Pixar and later on all of Disney animation until recently, is good friends with one of the founders Hayao Miyazaki who once famously said that its best to watch, listen, read and play things in your own language. But back to the list, please keep in mind that these are all opinion based and I am aware that some may be more difficult to make into a world than others for various reasons. So with that said, let's grab our keyblades and open up the pathways to these different worlds:

Also this list will be continually updated when each of these worlds are confirmed to appear in any of the games just to make way for other worlds seeing as Disney overall release several films a year now.

50 - Asgard (based on the Thor films)
So let's say Disney gave Tetsuya Nomura the rights to any of the Marvel properties to be used in the game and had he choose one world out of all of them, my first pick would be Asgard. Otherwise known as the home of the mightiest Avenger Thor,  his "adopted" brother and the god of mischief Loki and other Asgardians, this could very well be a great world to explore. Not only that, but you have other realms to visit which can range in size, but overall there is plenty of potential for this world in my opinion. And also, wouldn't it be funny to see if Sora is worthy of wielding a Keyblade that resembles the Mjonir? I would be up for that. But like I said, Disney do have restrictions so if it is possible to have a world like this, then hopefully we will get it and maybe it will be more memorable and enjoyable than the film series which apart from Ragnarok hasn't been entirely great nor memorable.

49 - Ocean Land (based on Ponyo)
Although at present Disney only have the distribution and English dubbing rights, any world based on a Studio Ghibli film could work well for the series. But then you have the problem of naming a world especially if a name isn't said nor given in the film. Its possible that we may never have a world based on a Studio Ghibli film due to both rights issues and the developers only wanting Disney worlds that are Disney's own creations (in other words, any film that has the Disney castle in there somewhere or the like) from a company wide perspective. Ponyo may be just another version of The Little Mermaid, but its kind of more unique when compared to Disney's own version going as far as using more human elements over things that are under the sea which as we all know the Disney film made a big deal out of. Nevertheless, Ponyo may be a good world for the series. But we not get it in any game for a while yet.

48 - Medieval Scotland (based on Brave)
Now the series has as of yet, not touched on a single Pixar film and as such, they did try to have Woody and Buzz as summons in Kingdom Hearts 2, but they were scrapped because at the time, Disney and Pixar were having contractual issues. However unlike Marvel, Studio Ghibli and LucasFilm, Disney have previously put Pixar stuff into their other collaborative games like Infinity and Disney Universe so I think the development team will have no problem getting any Pixar property into Kingdom Hearts and I think at least one of them should be this one. I mean a medieval world has been made before in the form of Enchanted Dominion, but I think we can settle for another one, especially as thus far, there has been no form of archery used in the series so far. We have had projectiles, but no archery and I think that's what will make this world work. It could also be quite funny just seeing how Sora works out what the people are saying because of their strong Scottish accents (something of which I admire as I have Scottish relatives). So the development team want their worlds to have something special in them and I think they will get just that with this very world.

47 - Land of Muppets (based on The Muppets as a whole franchise)

Chances of a world based on the Muppets is possible considering that Disney now well and truly own them and because of their revival, they are once again big names. However its highly unlikely that we would get a world based on any of the films or TV shows, but there is potential for it to be like a minigame world or just a world whereby there's no Heartless and you're just there being their very special guest star in their show and taking part in all their sketches. In other words, this would in theory be a world like 100 Acre Woods, Atlantica (in Kingdom Hearts II) and Disney Town. There isn't really that much you could do to make this world have a focus on the story, but an appearance from the Muppets would at least make the game all the worth more playing.

46 - Animal Circus (based on Dumbo)

Now Dumbo himself has previously appeared in the series as a summon and so far a world based on the film has yet to be made. But his appearance means that a world based on Dumbo may be on the way and I actually do not know how such a world could work. I mean it has potential for Heartless to appear in it and you have a wide circus ground to explore not to mention some possible chances of flight mechanics. So its possible that we will be getting this world in a later game and it may work well for Kingdom Hearts but we shall see. Still though it be cool to have a world if not just to promote the upcoming remake if nothing else.

45 - The Forest Kingdom (based on Bambi)

Like with Dumbo, Bambi has also previously appeared as a summon thanks to the innocence and purity of his heart. This like with Dumbo, means a world based on the film may be coming and it would be a world that I guess would work similarly to The Pride Lands in Kingdom Hearts II in that Sora and his friends appeared in that world as animals. Also because this film hasn't got any on screen humans in it (even though they do mention "Man" a lot), it would be the same case here, but I think they could make it so that the enemy isn't man, but one of the thirteen darknesses causing havoc across the kingdom as it were and therefore, is the enemy. Yeah I think it could work. The film is one of the most mature of Disney films in that it handles the death of loved ones and as we know, Kingdom Hearts is full of that, but it isn't actually death in the series. its just death but reborn as someone else. So I guess that could be handled in a similar way here, but we'll see.

44 - Dalmation London (based on the animated 101 Dalmations)

Once again, we come to a series of characters seen in the series, but without a world. In the first game, players had the side mission of finding the 99 puppies spread across the universe and give them to Pongo and Perdita who have taken up residence in Traverse Town due to the destruction of their world. With their world having yet to make an appearance, we can all be rest assured that we may see a world based on the film though with Sora and friends appearing as animals themselves once again, this case being dogs (though not sure how that would work with Goofy and Donald, but we'll see) as they take up most of the film as it is. Still though, it would work really well as a Heartless infested world so yeah, I see this happening.

43 - Totoro's Tree (based on My Neighbour Totoro)
If there is any Studio Ghibli film that deserves to be a world in Kingdom Hearts, it would be one that has their mascot Totoro. I mean this guy is pretty much the thing that has kept the studio going for as long as it could and as such, has been seen as a toy in Toy Story 3 which tells us all that Disney do indeed play a part in the works of Studio Ghibli even if its nothing more than the international distribution and English dub of the films. But as a world, I see it working in the same light as Beast's Castle and Deep Space in that it should really only be based in part of the film, in this case being the tree that Totoro lives in and much like with the Beast, Totoro is as the film calls him the keeper of the forest and as such, will defend his home if it ever gets attacked or under threat. If this wasn't a world, then Totoro could instead become a summon and would make a very good summon at that with how big he is. Also that cat bus thing in the film, it could work as a fast travel element, something of which the games have, but you have to be out of the world to actually do that which doesn't really work if you want to get to a place quickly.

42 - Doggy Paris (based on Lady and the Tramp)
101 Dalmations is one thing, but what about a world based on Lady and the Tramp? I mean yeah it is another dog infested world, but I think it could work as a world. Now like with Dumbo, Bambi and the previously mentioned 101 Dalmations, 2 other Disney characters who have made an appearance in the series but their world has not, is Lady and the Tramp who unlike the other characters, appears as a golden fountain in Traverse Town which could possibly mean that its a world within a world like with Space Paranoids, 100 Acre Wood and Timeless River. It has potential of being a Heartless infested world with the rat who battled the Tramp at the end of the film, being among those Heartless and Sora and friends would have to yet again, disguise themselves to be part of the world like they have done previously. It is a good film and I'm sure it can be made into a world, but we'll see.

41 - Dark Ages (based on The Sword in the Stone)
Of all the characters that have been in the games, but their worlds have not, Merlin unlike the others, is a special case of its own. This is because unlike everyone else already mentioned, Merlin had resided in Disney Town before relocating to Traverse Town and then Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden so in a way, he never came from a world of his own. However, a world based on The Sword in the Stone is possible because a lot of magic is involved and with that magic, Sora and friends have more of a variety of disguises to choose from as opposed to only one in certain worlds, thus giving this world something unique that in theory could be used in any future game in the series. But if not a world, then maybe we'll see Merlin's rivalry with Madam Mim and his pet owl Archimedes who have previously been referenced, but not properly seen as characters. Either way, whatever happens, I'm sure a world could be made if anything.

40 - Zootopia/Zootropolis
While largely animal based films have appeared in the series before, none can compare to the world of Zootopia. I mean of any of Disney's films where its largely all animals behaving in an anthropomorphic manner, this is among their best works. It would also be pretty fun to see how Sora copes with a city like this as well as all the different things that the film got away with. Not sure if it would follow the film as such, but it be fun just to see a world where only Sora has to change his appearance and have some fun with these animals.

39 - Bayou of Jazz (based on The Princess and the Frog)
A world with a lot of possibilities and one that may not necessarily need Heartless in it, but could take on something like what Atlantica did in the second game where its a mini game world. Still though, lots can happen in a world where almost everyone is a swamp creature and has vodoo and magic all around. Not to mention that its also home to a Disney Princess despite the film not being a box office hit. Nevertheless, it sounds like a fun world to go to so make it happen!

38 - School of Superheroes (based on Sky High)
Now as far as I'm aware, Disney have made 2 films about original superheroes. One being The Incredibles and the other being this very one, Sky High. Now there is a high chance that at least one of these films will be made into a world in Kingdom Hearts and it is a tough choice, but ultimately, I went with Sky High. Why? Well there is something about it that would make it work in Kingdom Hearts in the sense that it could be the Mysterious Tower or Olympus Colosseum of any future game in the series. In other words, I see this working as the sort of battle arena for Sora and friends to train and be ready to battle the Heartless and any other foe that gets in the way of their quest. That's my opinion anyway. Its likely that The Incredibles will get a world more than Sky High because even though both films are good, Sky High isn't as well known or loved like The Incredibles is. But still, I can dream.

37 - Patch of Heaven (based on Home on the Range)
Quite possibly the most hated of all the animated Disney films. I mean its on everyone's list of the worst Disney films ever made and in a way, I have to agree. But that being said, I do still feel that a world based on Home on the Range may work better than it did as a film. I mean its the wild west for goodness sake and that hasn't even been explored as of yet in Kingdom Hearts. However like with the other films that I've mentioned, it only makes sense for Sora and friends to be farm animals in order to fit in with the farm animals that clearly have the spotlight in the film. Do I see it happening? Personally, I do think that a wild west world could work, but because of the amount of hate for the film, its unlikely that it will ever become a world in a Kingdom Hearts game, but its possible.

36 - Oakley Oaks (based on Chicken Little)
I will admit that Chicken Little is considered to be one of the least liked animated classics that Disney have ever done. So as such the chances of a world ever appearing is unlikely. However its still possible as the titular hero himself did appear as a summon previously so there's a good chance that his world may appear as well. There's probably no chance in hell, but it may be more fun and less aggressive than the film so there is that if nothing else. Also Sora would have to yet again become a animal and given the character models in this film, it could be hilarious or down right werid. I don't know, we'll just have to wait and see.

35 - Ingary (Based on Howl's Moving Castle)
And so we come to another Studio Ghibli film and I think for this one, it could easily be a world in Kingdom Hearts. I mean you have a moving castle, a lot of fantasy elements and while it does have war elements in it as well, that war could very well involve the Heartless. And because of the amount of stuff that you can make for a PS4 and Xbox One game, you can easily make a lot of stuff go on in this world. I will say though that its not the best of the films from Studio Ghibli, but it does have a fanbase and therefore, it could be made into a world, but we'll see.

34 - Narnia (based on the Chronicles of Narnia films)
This probably won't happen because of Disney's stance with the Narnia films (well the two they distributed at least), but I can see this being made into a Heartless infested world because of how large Narnia is and because in both of the films that Disney distributed, there is a war and those wars could very well have not only creatures from Narnia but also Heartless too. Also I believe that with either Aslan or the Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve could make very good team members in Sora's team just by how much they can do for him in battle. But whatever happens, I ask the development team to at least consider making this into a world because there is a fanbase for all things Narnia and they will be very pleased if this was a world in Kingdom Hearts.

33 -Andalasia (based on Enchanted)
Enchated was set out to be only a parody, homage and satire of the animated Disney films that we know and love and they did a very good job of it. However, a world could be quite interesting in Kingdom Herats in the sense that you would be exploring a fully animated world and then a live action world and while the developers aren't afraid to do worlds based on live action and animated Disney films, what about a world that based on a hybrid of the two? I personally don't know if such a thing can be done, but it would be really cool and awesome if it was done, plus Sora can comment on how things look different like he did in Port Royal in Kingdom Hearts II.

32 - Victorian London (based on any of Disney's takes on A Christmas Carol)
Can you believe that there are so many adaptations of this book? I mean, just wow. Anyway, so of all the adaptations, Disney are responsible for at least 3 versions, one using Mickey and Friends and one using The Muppets. But it wasn't until 2009 where after the short lived acquisition of motion capture film makers Imagemovers Digital that we actually got a version by Disney that didn't use any of Disney's already established characters and instead stuck to the original story using the story's original characters and not cast their mascot characters or the Muppets in the roles. Anyway, so it wouldn't be the first time that Kingdom Hearts would've tackled Christmas. I mean they did expand Halloween Town in Kingdom Hearts II to incorporate Christmas Town as well, so it wouldn't be the first time. Though I see this working as simply a world where by in order to move the story forward, you would've needed to get certain abilities in order to do so because even though it could work as a Heartless infested world, there is way too much chess board moving around in the story that it would just be impossible to do so. The Ghosts themselves could make very good boss fights, but as it is, its possible for a world like this to exist in Kingdom Hearts, but given that Imagemovers Digital is now no longer part of Disney because of the failure that was Mars Needs Moms (Disney's biggest and I mean biggest box office bomb), its unlikely to happen. Maybe with the Muppets or Mickey and friends, but I'm not sure about the IMD one.

31 - New Holland (based on Frankenweenie)
Now a number of Tim Burton's work has had a mixed response over the years, but there is a massive fanbase for his work so chances of there being another world based on a Tim Burton film that Disney distributed, are very much possible and I think New Holland would be a great fit. The story is basically asking the question "What if Frankenstein was a dog instead of a man?" and its basically Frankenstein if he was a dog. Now the film as a whole is all in black and white like the original Universal Monsters film that this film is kind of based on and it follows the same stop motion style that the Nightmare Before Christmas used which is stop motion. I see potential for this world and it would be yet another world for Sora and friends to blend in to because of how different the characters are to regular humans like us. It is a vary recent film and as such, already shows that it can be used as a world in Kingdom Hearts, even if its a Tim Burton film.

30 - Wild West Texas (based on The Lone Ranger)
Because of what happened with Home on the Range and this film, I think its pretty clear that Disney don't know how to handle wild west films very well. I mean I think Home on the Range is hated more than this film because in this film, its basically what Pirates of the Caribbean would be if it was set in the wild west. Now Doug Walker of Channel Awesome (who is famous for his role as The Nostalgia Critic) said himself that if this film came out before Pirates of the Caribbean, then the film will have had more of a chance of being more well received than it did. But for what it is, there is a fanbase behind it and it has been more well received here in the UK so its a risk, but I think the development crew could put it in, maybe as a DLC so that if people want it, they can just download it rather than it being already in the game. I mean let's keep in mind that the next game is coming out on PS4 and Xbox One which means that there can be DLC for the game so there you go. But as it is, its possible for a world based on The Lone Ranger to happen, but when it will happen, we don't know. It is a risk, but its a risk that if I was in charge, I would take it.

29 - House of the Big People (based on The Secret World of Arrietty)
OK so having small characters in a world that looks like a giant lives in it, isn't anything new for the series as it has been done in Wonderland and Castle of Dreams. However, the effects of being miniature in both those worlds were temporary so the idea of having a world where your miniature all the time, is possible and still out there and there is plenty of ways that it could work. Also from where I'm sitting, this is the only adaptation of The Borrowers that Disney have played a part in making as it were, even if it was just nothing more than the international distribution and English dubbing of it. Still though, there is potential for it and even the big people could work as enemies, though that is quite unlikely, but still.

28 - Tomorrowland (based on the film and the part in the theme parks of the same name)
Welcome to the world of Tomorrow!!! Yeah that's from a show that is no longer with us, but is still pretty awesome to this day. Anyway, so among the many parts of Disney theme parks out there, Tomorrowland seems to be among the most popular and as it turns out, we'll be getting a Disney film called Tomorrowland later this year so there couldn't be any perfect time than this to make this into a world in Kingdom Hearts. Its futuristic, has a lot going for it and if Disney really is making the development team not make a world out of Star Wars, then this would be perfect for us to see cameos of characters from that franchise whether they be from Rebels, the original and prequel trilogies, the Clone Wars or even Episode 7 coming out later this year. At the very least, a cameo would do for any of the characters from Star Wars and we will be happy.

27 - The Brain (based on Inside Out)
It may not even be released yet, but judging from the trailer, the concept looks good so why not make a world out of Pixar's most recent film. I mean, wouldn't it be fun to go into your mind and as such, this could work as a world inside another world because in truth, you are just going into the mind of an individual and exploring their emotions and that's basically the film in a nutshell. There's not much else there, but still it is a pretty cool idea but I'm not sure if it can be made, but we'll see.

26 - The Cartoon Wasteland (based on Epic Mickey)
The games have explored animation, live action, stop motion and direct to DVD stuff as well as featuring characters from their TV shows. So why not also step into the realm of what Kingdom Hearts is, a video game. And with that said, I suggest you go for Epic Mickey. Why? Well it continues Mickey's story and the world is pretty much consumed in darkness already with the Shadow Blot so a Heartless infested world it can be. Also, it be great to see the return of Oswald the Rabbit as well. In fact many people believe that both Kingdom Hearts and Epic Mickey are similar in the sense that both games have a lot of darkness in them and its a matter of trying to have the light take over the darkness. With all that said, this could mean that a world based on the game may come and it would be quite interesting to see how all things would play out.

25 - The Ant Hill (based on A Bug's Life)
Yes people. Pixar did make a film about bugs. It may not be as well known as some of Pixar's other films, but it does definitely exist. So anyway, there hasn't been a world where by all the characters are all bugs as it were, so the characters would have to blend in and appear as bugs themselves. That being said, surprisingly a lot of people want this to be a world in Kingdom Hearts and I have to agree in the sense that there is plenty of potential in the world and I wouldn't mind seeing some Heartless in the form of bugs or ants. Also it may fair better being seen in Kingdom Hearts than it did with that terrible, but OK film licensed game that came out back in the day. I wouldn't mind seeing this as a world and I see there being potential for it to be a world.

24 - The Nesting Grounds (based on Dinosaur)
So before we got that terrible Walking With Dinosaurs film, Disney had a shot at making a film about dinosaurs and I think they succeeded to make the film enjoyable, but not the greatest of their films, considering that the effects are now well and truly dated, but the realistic environment looks fab. All the characters would be dinosaurs and the game would finally explore the concept of being gigantic. Heartless beware, Sora a muther f**king T-Rex and will kick your asses hard.

23 - Ice Age North America (based on Brother Bear)
Probably best if this world was called something else, you know just to avoid lawsuits with FOX. Anyway, so Brother Bear, a good but not great film as a world. Yeah I see that happening, but like with the ones that I've previously mentioned, it would be a case of Sora and friends being among the animals rather than be humans or it would be them suffering the same fate as the main protagonist by being turned into an animal and finding the true meaning of love. But anyway, so yes a world like this is possible and I see it happening. How it would work is anyone's guess, but I would say that the experience would be a bit like the Pride Lands, but Sora is a bear this time around and a lot more stronger too.

22 - Duckburg (based on DuckTales)
So we have yet another set of Disney characters who are a special case. You see the characters of DuckTales residing in Hollow Bastion/Raidient Garden and they have lived there since Birth By Sleep which means that like with Merlin, they never originated from a world that would be based on their TV show and comic books. But it being one of the Disney Channel's most popular shows, an actual world is possible given its popularity and it would most likely work as a minigame world and Sora wouldn't need to change even though the world is filled with talking animals because they all know Sora (well Scrooge and his nephews at least) and as such, there would be no need to change his form. It would be nice to have a world, but their appearances in the games is more than enough to please us fans of DuckTales.

21 - Land of Oz (based on any Oz property that Disney have got so far)
With Disney trying their absolute hardest to get the rights to Wicked, they instead decided to make a prequel to MGM's The Wizard of Oz and honestly, it is a great film with great visuals, but not entirely perfect. But that aside, this could work as a world in Kingdom Hearts because it is a big world full of life and has a balance of light and darkness which would work in the setting of Kingdom Hearts III. However, I'm not sure if any of the companions in any of the Oz films would make great allies with Sora because having seen them all in action, it just wouldn't work for me. But all that said, this can work as a world and I see it happening.

20 - Kohaku River (based on Spirited Away)
This Studio Ghibli film was the first film I ever saw from them and it was because of this film that I now enjoy anime more than I used to and have a great admiration and respect for the film makers as I do with other anime these days (even if its a bit odd at times, but still). So a world based on this very film can work as there is a lot of fantasy and wonderful creatures around, not to mention that the bath spa place as it were could make some pretty chaotic boss battles (among of which, there could be No-Face). It is quite a bizzare world if it were made into a world, but there is plenty for the characters to do here so all I say to the development team is of for it. If there is any Studio Ghibli film that should be made into a world in Kingdom Hearts (just so as long as Disney and Studio Ghibli can come to a compromise to allow it), Spirited Away is the one. Get it done.

19 - Prydain (based on The Black Cauldron)
While it may be one of Disney's lesser known animated films, The Horned King (the main antagonist) is the one Disney villain that is actually the most memorable of the film and as such, if Maleficent were to form another team of villains to do something, he would be as Darth Sidious would say, a valuable ally. As such, a world based on The Black Cauldron is unlikely, but given that the film does have a cult following of some sort, I can see it happening. Its perfect for the Heartless and it would be perfect for the whole light vs darkness setting of Kingdom Hearts III.

18 - Treasure Planet
Perhaps more unlikely than most, Treasure Planet did indeed have some things going for it. Its just that many felt it was too ambitious for its own good and followed the story almost too closely. Funny enough, two other Disney versions exist which are the original 1950 version and the Muppet version which I guess did try and follow the story but not as closely. So yeah unlikely to appear, but a world that combines industrial times with sci-fi elements could work. But again, unlikely due to another pirate franchise already in the series and the complicated nature of how this world could work.

17 - Edwardian London (based on Mary Poppins and Mary Poppins Returns)
The thought of Sora, Donald and Goofy being taught a thing or two about manners, behaviour and money may not sound as exciting as fighting Titans, believing that they can fly or be a program if nothing else. But that is why some of these worlds come about. They aren't neccessarily there for story purposes. In fact most are there for comic relief if nothing else and if the Travers estate allows it, I would love to see a world based on Mary Poppins. It be an interesting choice I'd imagine and if it weren't possible to have a world, the titular nanny may still work as a summon instead. Still I hope we get her in the series somewhere eventually.

16 - Atlantis (based on Atlantis: The Lost Empire)
And from one popular choice to another, here's a world that the name of the film its based on, kind of gives it away. I mean the film is about finding the ancient city of Atlantis and that's pretty much it although there is the fact about trying to protect it and all that, but anyway. I would love for there to be a world based on this cult hit of a film because it is a vast and big world that is full of ancient technology that can be driven and I think if anything, this world can work for big boss battles which is great. Its been a long time since the last we heard of the Atlantis franchise so think its about time to bring it back and introduce it to a new generation of people and I think Kingdom Hearts can do just that.

15 - Devil's Bayou (based on The Rescuers)
So shrinking mechanics have been done before, but maybe its time for another one. While not as well known nowadays, a world based on The Rescuers could see a lot of good things to come in the series. Rescuing children with mice as the main heroes might be fun, you never know. I guess if it were more popular, it could happen. But for now, I would love to see a world based on it even if its just a small world if nothing else.

14 - Treasure Planet (based on the film of the same name)
So Disney have made 3 adaptations of Treasure Island with each one being very different to the other. There's the live action one which is notable for being the first Disney film to be completely live action, there's the Muppets one which is like the first one but with the signature humour and music of the Muppets films and this one where Disney make the film animated and put a sci-fi element to it and having seen at least 2 of those adaptations (though there is a Disney made mini series as well, but I'm not going to count that), I can say that Treasure Planet should be the one made into a Kingdom Hearts world. Now that being said, it wouldn't be the first time that the series has tackled pirates as we got a world based on the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, but never have we had a world about space pirates. There's so many ways this can work as a world and if not in Kingdom Hearts III, then perhaps in a future entry of the series.

13 - Paradise Falls (based on Up)
Up has been regarded as being one of the greatest and best that Pixar have done thus far and was among the last of the company's biggest hits because of how Cars 2 played out. Needless to say, for a film that was so good, its guaranteed to get itself a world in a future Kingdom Hearts game. But the question is how would it play out. Well there isn't much you can do in the little town at the beginning of the film, but when Carl is in the air, the world is your oyster. You can pretty much explore big and vast jungles, journey into the skies in Carl's house or the big massive blimp all the while taking on wave after wave of Heartless. There is so much that this can bring to the games and I would be gutted if it never becomes a world in Kingdom Hearts because there is so much that can be done with this film in the games.

12 - The Incan Empire (based on The Emperor's New Groove)
So yet another popular choice for a world in Kingdom Hearts is one that's based on the good but not great but really funny film, The Emperor's New Groove which I believe is loosely based on The Emperor's New Clothes (something of which Disney would've never made into a film if they were following the story word for word). Honestly, I do like this film just because of how funny it can be and as such, there is a fanbase for the film, so this could easily be made into a world because if you're like me and have played the film licensed video game, you'll know that this world is big and full of things like jungles, snowy mountains, a village on a hill, the emperor's palace and its surrounding town. Yeah there is quite a bit of stuff here. There's even a rollercoaster like entrance to a lab which I think is pretty nifty. Plus to top it all off, Sora can even become any animal he wants in this world as opposed to only being the native animal of a world. Plenty to do and plenty to like, this is one world that I see being made into Kingdom Hearts.

11 - The Man-Village (based on The Jungle Book)
So here's another world that was intended to be in a previous entry of the series, but it was never meant to be. Through the power of hacking, players of Birth By Sleep would be able to find a fully explorable world based on The Jungle Book. Now this tells me that this world will appear in a future game at some stage so there is hope for it. However, I think its very unlikely that we will get some of the original voice actors seeing as how old the film is. But I think it would be nice to see Walt Disney's final film made into a Disney world because with it being in the games, it would show just how dedicated the development team is to pleasing all Disney fans around the world. It would just make the experience, all the more worth while.

10 - The Polluted Earth (based on WALL-E)
The film WALL-E was a big risk for Pixar considering that the film is unlike anything that Pixar have done before and it was a huge success. And with the film being set mostly in space in a dystopian future, who wouldn't want this as a world in Kingdom Hearts. There's 2 areas that the gang can explore which are the wasteland that Earth has become and the BnL Starliner, the Axiom. Both have got a lot going for them and I think the world could fit well into the Kingdom Hearts story and maybe make it sound like the world became the way it is because of the Heartless or some other known means of evil which as a result, forced the inhabitants to leave the world on the Axiom and leaving the robots to tackle the situation which as a result, leaves with only WALL-E about. Also interesting fact, this film does take some inspiration from Star Wars, specifically how R2-D2 behaves. So really if we don't get a Star Wars world, then at least there is a chance that a world inspired by Star Wars could be in Kingdom Hearts instead.

9 - Kingdom of Light (based on Tangled) - confirmed for III
And now we have the milestone animated Disney film. With this being Disney's 50th animated film in their Animated Classics series and a huge fanbase to back the film, there is a very high chance that a world based on Tangled could come into play. I think its got plenty of colourful places to explore, either one of Flynn or Rapunzel can make great team players (though I think Rapunzel will be more helpful with that long hair of hers) and the film itself, changed everything we knew and loved about the animated Disney films. Yeah I see this happening because everyone wants it.

8 - Underland (based on Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland)
While not the best of Burton's films (he's a bit of a mixed bag with a number of people), this film is quite possibly shows us that Disney don't intend to be all child friendly anymore because of the beheading, the eye stabbing and removing and even censored nudity of all things. Not to mention there are many political movements in the film. But despite those things, people do still like the film for what it is and as such, is somewhat of another film that many fans want to see a world of in the film. Now it wouldn't be the first time that a Burton film made it into the game (though Nightmare Before Christmas wasn't directed by him, but he does take the most credit for it) and it wouldn't be the last either. Yeah the film isn't that great of a film, but you just have to admire the visuals that the film has and it just could be a world in Kingdom Hearts that would potentially be the series' first mindf**ked world, when you think about it of course.

7 - The Moors (based on Maleficent)
Now its still unclear what Maleficent's role will be in the next game and its also unclear if she will even be in the game and if so, what version of her because now there are 2. The one who was the main villain in Sleeping Beauty and the more recent one who acts as an anti-heroine. Regardless of what happens there, a world based on the film Maleficent would make quite the world in Kingdom Hearts. I mean you have 2 parts of it which are the human world and the magical world that is The Moors where the fantasy creatures of the film live in. Now many people have called this film to be not as good as Sleeping Beauty which I have to agree with, but there are also other people who enjoy this film for what it is and wouldn't mind having this as a world in Kingdom Hearts or at the very least, have the titular character make an appearance instead.

6 - The Nova Empire (based on Guardians of the Galaxy)
The best superhero film of 2014 and the best Marvel film that manages to be just as good as The Avengers is worthy of being a world in Kingdom Hearts. I mean I loved the film so much and it just wouldn't feel right to have an Avengers world and not have a Guardians of the Galaxy world. There is so much you can do with this and while it does seem like an impossibility to have everything from the film into the game, it would still be awesome if the heroes did have some kind of appearance in the game because it would just be great to have them and each one of them would make great team players for the team and there could even be a chance that Ronan allies himself with the Heartless to take over the empire. A great pick for a world if I ever saw one. We are Groot.

5 - Metroville (based on The Incredibles)
The world nowadays has superheroes everywhere, but as we remember The Incredibles came out at a time where Marvel and DC were still having films with mixed responses. The Incredibles meanwhile decided to do something that at the time no other superhero film (apart from X-Men) dared to ever do; talk about the political side of a world with superheroes. So how about a world based on this film or even its sequel? It may be dark and at times mature, but you can't deny that a world with superheroes Marvel or not would be welcomed into Kingdom Hearts with open arms. Plus it also be cool to see if any of our heroes get some superpowers aside from their respective weapons.

4 - Jamestown (based on Pocahontas)
Not many people like the film very much and personally neither do I. But after a recent rewatch, I decided that while the film may not be great, perhaps a world based on said film might be better. Seeing Sora, Donald and Goofy caught in the middle of a war between the Powhatan tribe and the Virgina Company with Pocahontas herself could be both educational and action packed too. To date, it and The Rescuers Down Under are the only two films of the Disney Renaissance that have yet to appear in the series at all. But I guess you could say that since the film came out, people just never got over its huge historical inaccuracies. But it was still an OK film if nothing else and has a Disney Princess in there too.

3 - Litwak's Arcade (based on Wreck-It Ralph) - Ralph confirmed as a summon
Of course, any list about what worlds people want in a future Kingdom Hearts game wouldn't be complete with a world based on Wreck-It Ralph. The film about video games in Kingdom Hearts is possible, but I don't think the development crew would have the time to bring in the licensed characters in because of how many phone calls and emails they must do, but still. Also it would be great to see how Sora and friends play out in different video game genres and enjoy the wonders that are glitches and they could even break the 4th wall while doing those things. And any one of the main characters would make great team players with Ralph's strength and fast wrecking, Felix's ability to heal those in need with his hammer, Venelope being able to go through pretty much anything using her glitching talents and Sergeant Calhoun being the solider and gun wielder that she is. It would be a great world in Kingdom Hearts, but maybe as a world inside another world more than anything else.

2 - New York City (based on any Marvel properties that are mainly set there)
We are all wanting it and chances are that we won't get it, but we can still dream. So for every Marvel thing that I read and see and play, it seems that New York seems to be the city where many of the Marvel heroes reside in with Spider-Man being your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man, the X-Mansion is located there, one of Tony Stark's Stark Industries towers is there, Reed Richard's lab is there as is the Fantastic Four's HQ and well it seems to be the place where the most chaos happens. So if there was a world featuring Marvel characters to be in the game, this would very well be at the top of the list. Everyone wants Marvel to be in the game and a lot of us will be very disappointed if they weren't. I mean it would be cool to see how Sora and friends would be able to help the heroes, but no pressure intended.

Honourable Mentions:

  • The Aristocats - Not the kind of world I want in the game, but it would be funny to see Sora as a cat.
  • Robin Hood - Its another popular choice, but I don't see it as Kingdom Hearts material.
  • Great Mouse Detective - Sora teaming up with the mouse version of Sherlock. That I want to see.
  • Meet the Robinsons - I found some enjoyment in the film and it would be a time travel of a world.
  • Who Framed Roger Rabbit - A great world this would be, but licensing would be the issue.
  • Cars + Planes - Don't like the franchise as a whole, but Sora as a car or plane could be fun.
  • Finding Nemo + Dory - A world fully inhabited by sea creatures. That I would like to see.
  • Ratatouille - It is a big scary world out there for a rat who loves cooking. - Remy confirmed as a summon for III

1 - A Galaxy Far Far Away (based on the Star Wars universe)
Yeah I think you all saw this coming from a mile off. So Disney now own Star Wars so this could possibly appear in Kingdom Hearts. The universe is huge so it is a high impossibility that we would be able to explore all of it, so it most likely will allow us to explore the significant parts of this universe like Tatooine, the Death Star, Coruscant and Naboo because those areas are the areas that seem to be seen in the majority of all Star Wars media. Obviously Disney do have their restrictions with what the games can have, but if they are allowed to give us a Star Wars world or at least the appearances of any of the franchise's iconic characters like Darth Vader, C3-PO, R2-D2 or even Obi-Wan Kenobi, then once again you will have made a lot of people very happy.

So that's my list. Is there any that I missed out? and what worlds would you like to see in a future game of the series? Well leave a comment below for both and as always, happy gaming. Next time I look at my all time favourite cartoon (animated and CGI) characters.

Movie Review - Inside Out 2

I guess a sequel to the first makes sense here. I mean, for the most part, this franchise is all about the subject of growing up and with ...
