TV Episode Review - Face the Raven (Doctor Who S9, E10)

This time, the Doctor and Clara go to an alien infested neighbourhood in London, where a deadly raven awaits:
So Rigsy (a character we last saw in the previous series) calls the Tardis and explains to Clara and the Doctor about a time ticking down on his back. They go to investigate and the Doctor realises that this countdown is the amount of minutes that Rigsy has to live and with him settled down and being a father, things could not be more desperate. So using the Tardis, the trio search for aliens in what is described as a trap street and eventually find one where all aliens are using holograms to make them human and to stop things like Unit from tracking them down. In this same street, the Doctor finds Me who has taken the role of mayor as well as a raven who will take ones soul when the time reaches its end. So its up to the Doctor and Clara to prove Rigsy's innocence any way they can, but doing may end one of them if they are not careful.

This was an interesting, but also very dark episode. Its not often that we see the death of a much loved character (well for the most part) in the show (not giving anything away when I say that) and this one did feel very unexpected and in a way, sad. Its a good episode and certainly one that gets me hyped for the finale and boy its going to be a good one with the way things are going here. 9/10
