Boxes of Stuff - February 2016

This time, Deadpool is in all the boxes and we also get some things from The Walking Dead, Batman, Nintendo and more. Let's dive in:

Nerd Block
Just to say that for some reason, my original picture of what was in the Nerd Block for February was missing at the time of doing this post, so to make up, I'm using an image of the items from Google (and hope that I don't get into trouble for this). So we have 2 Deadpool items, 2 Nintendo items and 1 Batman item. For Deadpool, we got a pretty cool t-shirt and an equally cool plush which in each block is one variant or another (I got the white one). For Nintendo, I may not have the Power Glove, but Nerd Block have given me the next best thing, an oven glove styled to look like the Power Glove (its so bad and anyone who got that reference, give yourselves a pat on the back). Also inspired by Nintendo, we also get a wine thing which I don't know the proper name, but it has something to do with wine bottles in case you lose the cork or whatever its called. And finally, from the caped crusader (who we will be seeing in film later this month), we have a glow in the dark mug of the Batman logo. Very good stuff and a lot of Nerd Block items made by them themselves which is always nice to receive.

Geek Fuel
Geek Fuel do like to make opening their boxes a treat. So we have a variant cover of Retro magazine which is for those of you into Star Wars and the cover does look pretty nice. Going with some of the Geek Fuel made items I have already, we get a fridge magnet. I don't know where its from, but we also have a winter hat. Our Steam game this time is Eliot Quest and we get a jar of sweets and a metal ball puzzle in addition to the game code which is pretty cool. And coming from Deadpool, we have a t-shirt in the shape of a chimichanga as well as one of 3 items from Deadpool (I got a bottle opener). Some pretty good stuff with some very creative packaging as well.

Loot Crate - Dead
As always, Loot Crate likes to make themes with their boxes and this time, they are celebrating not only the release of the Deadpool film, but also the return of The Walking Dead on TV, hence the theme name Dead. So not counting the online thing you get with the nice pin badge (which is to do with a Walking Dead mobile game), we get 2 items from each franchise. From Deadpool, we have a Tacos t-shirt and a figure thing which again, has you get one of two variants (and yet again, I got the white one). And from the Walking Dead, we got a buildable mystery figure (I got a zombie) and some soap which I guess is supposed to resemble a prop from the show. I think if it wasn't for the online stuff with the badge, the box would've been very balanced out with an even amount of items for both franchises.

Marvel Collector Corps - Deadpool
And now its time for the pinnacle of Deadpool items as if I haven't been receiving enough already. So just like with any MCC box, all the items are from Funko. We got 2 figures which is a Dorbz of Deadpool with a cowboy hat and a Pop! which is Deadpool in an attack pose (and it bobbles too). We then have a Deadpool plush which is a variant. And then of course a Deadpool t-shirt (which again, has yet another white Deadpool on it), a Deadpool comicbook (all sealed up for you collectors out there) and a Deadpool patch and pin badge. Deadpool certainly is everywhere this time.

So all the boxes have Deadpool in them and I'm very happy with what I got, even if I kept getting the same variant every time. But despite that, I'd think each box has been able to handle the Deadpool hype well and aside from MCC, each box has also given us other things too. Too be fair, I didn't really expect there to be any other items aside from Deadpool, but some of them managed to handle it. So this month, I'm calling Geek Fuel the winner as they made the items more creative and had some interesting stuff in there too.
