Boxes of Stuff - February 2017

This time, its a heroic showdown in Marvel Collector Corps, Batman goes to Hyrule while being exposed to radioactive chemicals and the Upside Down in Geek Fuel and streets are filling with rageful fighters and zombies in Gamer Block M:
Marvel Collector Corps - Superhero Showdowns
So I think Marvel decided to do a theme on iconic battles between heroes and villains following the success of Captain America: Civil War and well it lives up to the name I have to say. The patch is Iron Man VS Ultron. The pin badge is The Incredible Hulk VS Red Hulk. The t-shirt is Spider-Man VS Green Goblin. The comic book is Inhumans VS X-Men. The Pop Figures are Bullseye VS Deadpool. And finally the pint sized figures are Captain America VS Red Skull. All very iconic battles and all of which are represented well on the items in this box which as always look very nice and are of high quality. So great.

Geek Fuel
So Geek Fuel as always, go for mainly random items and occasionally do themes. But what I've been told from them is that for their February box, everything is exclusive which is nice. So from Batman, we have a poster of baby Batman which is pretty cute I guess. From Legend of Zelda, we have a master sword battery booster because you know it's dangerous to go alone so guess I'll take it, but I do like that they went for the original NES version. From Stranger Things, we have the latest pin badge where you get one of three (I got the common one which is Dustin). From Fallout, we have a Dogmeat/Nuka World t-shirt which is very red and kind of cool in a way. We also get a ticket from Fallout which has a code where you can enter a competition to win prizes (I unfortunately didn't win anything, but that's OK). Finally, our Steam game for this Geek Fuel box is Archibald's Adventures which comes as a regular game card which makes a change from the usual small strategy guide. So a pretty decent box that while may not have many items, they are all exclusive and are all great items to have if you're into all these franchises.

Gamer Block M - Round 2! Fight!
So Gamer Block M decided to focus on fighting games with their theme of Round 2! Fight. So from Street Fighter, we have a set of 3 small figures of some of the fighters in the franchise and while they are not well detailed, they are still neat to have. From Streets of Rage, we have a keychain with a pixelated patterns featuring some of the fighters from the game, again very neat. From Dead Rising 4, we get a create your own mug where you get a plain white mug with some stickers to decorate it, guess there's a first time for everything there. From Townfall, we get a pin that has two arrows on it which looks nice. From Clay Fighters, we get a t-shirt that feels like one of those college or university t-shirts that you can get. And our Steam game is Electronic Super Joy which contains the full game and all its DLC. So its a pretty decent box that sticks to the theme well and actually gives me a familiar item, but just a new take on it.

So both Marvel Collector Corps and Gamer Block M kept to their respective themes well with not too many random items put in them for the sake of it which is good. And Geek Fuel kept being random, but gave me some very nice items as a result. For Gamer Block M and Marvel Collector Corps, there were a few franchises and heroic showdowns respectively that I wasn't too familiar with (i.e. Clay Fighters and Inhumans VS X-Men) and Geek Fuel didn't have many items inside this time, but made up by giving me an item I've been wanting for a long time and a very nice t-shirt too. So its a little bit hard this time to pick a winner, but February goes to Gamer Block M because even though there aren't franchises I'm not familiar with in it, it does make me interested in them and does something different for a familiar item that appears in many of these boxes that I get.

Movie Review - Inside Out 2
