As requested by a work colleague of mine, I'm going to review a home video with a Hollywood feel. Babies are cute, lovable, full of surprises and in some way, entertaining and amusing. Anyone who has been a parent will have no doubt probably done over a billion photos and videos of their children when they are under a year old and older. So my work colleague and a few friends of his have created a film featuring their babies so this should be interesting:

The film begins with some amusing film studio logos and opening credits. We then go to meet a baby boy called Benjamin Sheard (played by himself and voiced by his dad James Sheard) who seems to have lost his favourite toy known as Captain Calamari. So he sets out to find his toy and seeks out the help of his friends, each with their own set of jokes, pop culture references, music and investigative skills. A very entertaining journey into the world of babies.

It is a very entertaining and funny film. We often find that reading the mind of a baby sounds impossible. But this film attempts to show what the babies may be talking about without actually moving their lips and its very entertaining. Very funny, well acted by everyone (even the grown ups) and if I were in charge, it should certainly win an award for its originality and humor. Plus the soundtrack is well thought out too. Thanks to my work colleague for sending me this and I look forward to the next one. 😄9/10
