Boxes of Stuff - May 2018

This time, Joker and some Marvel heroes ride on some llamas in My Geek Box, every superhero (or most of them anyway) have a sidekick in IGN Box and Wolverine grabs a burger and some pizza before traveling with Deadpool to Westeros, then a galaxy far far away and back again to find the world inhabited by apes in my first Geek Fuel EXP.

Now because of the nature of the Geek Fuel EXP boxes, they will be coming every 3 months so most of these posts from now on will just be My Geek Box and IGN Box (and maybe another box too).
My Geek Box
So we have two Marvel items this time and the first is an ice cube tray of the symbols that best resemble the Avengers (and Thing). The second Marvel item is a Captain America: Civil War baseball hat which will surely keep the sun off the best of us while also making us feel like avengin'. There's also a pixel Joker figure which apparently does stuff with a couple of AAA bateries (not included) which should be interesting. And finally without being tied to any specific franchise, the t-shirt is a parody of your typical zombie apocalypse film posters, but with a llama twist. An average box with nothing that screams awesome this time, but not every month is going to be great anyway.

IGN Box - Sidekicks
So IGN Box decided to dedicate a box to the sidekicks that heroes and villains have. So we got a BB-8 money box with sound which looks very cool (BB-8 of course is a sidekick to the heroes of the sequel Star Wars trilogy). Next is a figure of Harley Quinn with her hammer and a dog ready to whack people with (and she of course is Joker's sidekick/love interest). Then from the world of Pokemon, we got a Pikachu wallet which to be perfectly honest, isn't anything special (Pikachu is often known as the sidekick to Ash Ketchum from the anime as well as the secret fourth choice for a first Pokemon in the earlier games). Then there's a keyring with everyone's favourite fox who always gets screwed over by his partner in crime Sonic, Tails. And finally the t-shirt is quite simply the genius item in this box as it points to the person on the left (right if you see it in a mirror. A pretty good box I think even though it was delayed by a week or two, but it was worth it.

Geek Fuel EXP - Vol. 1
So in response to fan requests, Geek Fuel have upgrades to give everyone more premium items as opposed to standard items like most boxes tend to have. Lots of franchises to cover here so let's get to it. From The Planet of the Apes is not one, not two but three pin badges with two being characters from the original series and a NASA badge which look very good and shiny. From beyond the Wall is a Game of Thrones exclusive figure of a clear glow in the dark white walker which looks just as cold as he is on the TV show. From some burger joint in an unnamed seaside community commonly referred to as Seymour's Bay, we appropriately got an apron of Bob's family from Bob's Burgers which I will happily cook burgers with. From the world of Marvel, we have a Wolverine canvas print of the cover of the very first comic he ever appeared in which despite being on the small side, looks very nice. From the mouth of that fourth wall breaking merc called Deadpool, we have a t-shirt of him doing a number of moves and portraying different versions of himself which looks very nice indeed. From some pizza joint that these teenage mutant ninja turtles get pizza from, we got a very big pizza cutter that almost resembles one of the turtle's weapons which will serve me well when eating pizza. Finally from a galaxy far far away, we have a LEGO book that looks into the many things that well at least the sequel trilogy have to offer. Despite not having a Steam game this time (which is fine as its got a lot of premium stuff in there anyway), it is a jam packed box that will certainly give fans what we have been wanting for a while and its enough to keep us amused until the next box comes along in a few months time.

My Geek Box wasn't all that great this time. IGN Box managed to keep to the theme without swaying away at any point which was great. But the one for me this time is the first Geek Fuel EXP box which gives us a great array of items that are very premium and will definitely keep us going until the next one comes in a few months.
