Random Video Game Review - Abzû

So in recent years, the gameplay concept of exploring an underwater world has become very popular which is likely due to the success of the game Subnautica. But we're not looking at that game today. Instead we going to look at this game which could be seen as very similar to Subnautica, but perhaps has some differences seeing as this did come out before that game was in early access. But anyway, lets literally dive into the world of Abzu:

In a quite rare occurrence in gaming, the game has little to no words in cutscenes and gameplay, but from what we can gather, the game is about this female diver who wakes up somewhere in the vast ocean and begins exploring it to find out things that occurred during ancient times as well as to restore life to the ocean with the help of an unlikely being; a great white shark. The game as you can imagine has a large focus on exploration in which players are tasked with restoring the ocean either within or above using these wells that the shark guides the player to.

You know most indie games are very easy to review because when compared to triple A titles, there isn't much you can say about them. But that isn't to say that they are not as good as those games. Personally I think Abzu is a pretty good game that focuses on exploration and can be seen as very relaxing too. The graphics look pretty darn good and although the story can be confusing as it uses very little wording, its a pretty straight forward story. So yeah all in all, a good and relaxing game for those of us that just like exploring more than combat and other things. 9/10
