Random TV Season Review - The Walking Dead (Season 11)

I don't think anyone really anticipated when The Walking Dead would come to an end. It started out during a time when many shows were being given film like budgets which is a reason why the likes of Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad looked like films than traditional TV shows and the same was given to this one. It has lasted longer than the other shows as the former ended a few years back with its spin-off House of the Dragon having just started its run not too long ago (review of which is coming). Whereas the latter just finished its prequel/spin-off series Better Call Saul with no plans to continue the franchise going forward. In this case, the franchise hasn't come to an end just yet. The main show, with this season, has finished. But a few spin-offs are either in the works or still going, and we are meant to be having a trilogy of films coming up too. So there will still be some Walking Dead stuff to look forward to even though its main show has ended. So let's see how it all ends in the longest season of the show and also the only season to have had two breaks instead of the traditional one (well, I think anyway):

The group of survivors from Alexandria, Hilltop and Kingdom, continue to fight for survival as they come to odds with the Commonwealth. A settlement that houses thousands of survivors in various settlements, but the higher ups of which may have some kind of hidden agenda. The group also encounter a group of hostile survivors that have ties with Maggie (reprised by Lauren Cohan) and her newfound group of survivors. Blood will be shed, walkers will be stabbed and all sorts as it all ends here (at least for the main show anyway).

Although it was interesting to see the final season be split into three parts this time, it's good to see it come to an end and also adapt as much as possible from the final issues of the comic book series it's based in. I've loved many of the characters since their respective debuts and really enjoyed the mayhem, the humour and everything that really makes this season the best ending it can be. A far better ending to what we got from Game of Thrones, but a good ending all the same. Not sure if I would go as far as to call it the show's best season, given how parts don't feel like a big budget blockbuster. But it certainly lived up to what many were expecting, so that's something. 8/10

Movie Review - Inside Out 2

I guess a sequel to the first makes sense here. I mean, for the most part, this franchise is all about the subject of growing up and with ...
