Gotham Review - Rouges' Gallery + What the Little Bird Told Him (S1, E11 + 12)

So after a mid season break, the dark streets of Gotham return to UK shores with a double whammy and a good one at that. So let's get to it and talk about this double bill feature length and see where we're at:

So throughout the course of the two episodes, we see Jim settling in with his new but temporary post at Arkham Asylum in which he manages to get the police involved with a certain matter. Elsewhere, Mooney hatches a plan to overthrow Don Flacone with help from underboss Jimmy Saviano. Oswald gets taught a lesson by Sal Maroni, all the while Jim and Bullock work together to track down 2 Arkham inmates who become part of that certain matter I mentioned earlier, leading to Jim possibly being reinstated as a GCPD detective once more. All this while Selina and her friend Ivy temporarily take refuge in Jim's apartment.

So with it being longer than the usual hour, you'd expect there for the show to find some way to fill up the time, and they do. There's a lot of character development, new characters get introduced and we get an inside look into Arkham Asylum during the pre-Batman years for the first time. There's plenty of action packed moments, suspense, humour and whatever else comes to mind and it is a great way to start the show after a mid season break. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the series. 9/10
