AC18: Random Movie Review - Alice in Wonderland (1951)

So next up from the Disney animated classics, is Alice in Wonderland. The only animated film that many would say is worthy of getting a direct to home media sequel unlike all the other films that got those. But having said that, we did get not one but two live action films, though not a remake of the film but more of a continuation with the first film's title being very misleading as the Nostalgia Critic will tell you. Anyway, let's get to it:

So we meet Alice (voiced by Kathryn Beaumont) who is sitting by a tree playing with her cat and ignoring her sister who is trying to teach her history, Alice then spots a white rabbit and follows it into an unusually large hole that takes her to a room with a talking door and a potion. From that point on, she goes into the world of Wonderland where anything can happen and its all ruled by an evil queen of hearts.

So in a way, I consider this to be a mindf**k film. I mean it has a character that goes to a fantasy world after living in the real world and a lot of bizarre things happen so it makes sense to call it that. But anyway, another great film by Disney which I'm surprised hasn't had a direct to home media sequel because there is potential for one, but guess we can't have anything. Very colourful, very funny and for lack of a better word, very weird and so much better than Tim Burton's take which while visually impressive, its a confusing mess (but we'll talk about that film in more detail on a later date). But for this film, it gets a 9/10 from me.
