Random TV Season Review - From (Season 1)

So I thought to take a break from Netflix this time and talk about a TV series that, for us UK folk, is on Now TV. We don't have season 2 yet for some reason, but that's fine for now. So, some of you may remember a little TV show called Lost. It was one of those big, groundbreaking shows about people trapped on an island that has some kind of powers within that prevented most of them from leaving and the only way to leave, was to not leave. Its ending hasn't been all that well received for a lot of people, but this show comes from the producers of that series. So we may expect things to be similar, but a little different this time around. Let's take a look:

The season begins with a family called the Matthews, who are on a road trip. The road trip, however, takes a turn for the worst when a tree falls down, and they end up being directed to a small pastoral town whereupon arrival, they and the residents within, cannot leave. No matter what they try to do, they just somehow cannot leave. So the residents most work together to retain a sense of humanity and find a way out while surviving unnatural beings that threaten the town.

Although very much trying to be like Lost, I found it interesting. The mystery of the town and the people that lurk within, usually makes for some good stories to tell if done right and with the right people on board. I don't know if I will continue watching this show when later seasons come around, but its off to a reasonably good start for sure. 8/10
